This is another chapter that I wrote from scratch. Actually, it is a very short chapter but I think it was needed. When I first wrote this novel, there was a lot of “and time passed” introductions where I skip weeks or even months at a time. Over at Gurochan, however, they pointed out that the lack of segues was startling.
This is a segue chapter. I didn't really care about the three weeks of her suspension. It doesn't really forward the plot that much. I mean, it was suppose to but then I felt there was a better way of doing it. This chapter has a hint of the original reasons for the three weeks, just a tiny little hint, but hopefully it will lead to the “good stuff.”
Interestingly, this chapter pushes the novel into the 115k word range.

It is almost the end of her suspension and Sonja couldn't wait to be back in Meris' arms. But those last few hours were the worse and Sonja had a another way of being with her lover, in the surreal world of dreams and snuff.
