Requests

I've been writing for a long time, as you might be able to figure out from this site. It has always been a labor of love for me, but occasionally, someone offers to send me money or ask how they can show their appreciation for what I've written.

Showing Appreciation

At the bottom of every page is a Flatt button. Flattr is a micropayment site that lets you spend a small amount of money per month and then "flattr" the various things you like. It doesn't have to be much, a few dollars a month. During the month, you can click Flattr buttons for those that you find interesting. At the end, they split your monthly amount evenly among the places you flattred and send it out. You can also subscribe to a flattred item (basically as if you clicked on it every month) or send a one-time donation of a larger amount.

There are a few advantages to doing this. The biggest is the amount. It's a few cents here and a few cents there. Maybe a dollar if you're generous. You don't have to give much but every little bit helps.

Getting Something

I feel uncomfortable taking direct donations. I know that I post without charging and that people enjoy my writing, but there is something about just accepting money without an exchange that doesn't sit well with my nature. On the other hand, giving me something in exchange for something does suite me so I decided to try this.

When you donate to a page, I'm going to keep track of it. If I get enough donations or flattrs, I'm going to write a story. If the donations are for a specific story or novel, the new one will be related to it. If it is for a setting (Nine Sisters, Shadowed Earth), then it will be a completely new story in that setting.

At the moment, the price for a story is $256.00 USD. This might sound like a lot, but I usually charged $300.00 USD for a 10k word story. Also, this is among everyone who enjoys my stories. So, if three hundred readers give a dollar, then a new story will pop up. If you really want a story, donate more and it will get done faster.

I'm going to write stories anyways. This is just a chance to give something to me, if you want, and also to request something specific. I love writing to turn people on, but I don't always knows what appeals.

Requested Stories

I have had requests for specific stories. These are either spin-offs of existing stories or just ideas that someone found interesting. I've added a link to them below along with how much I feel it will take to write. Some stories, like Dixie's submission to Tabitha, are longer because they will be far longer pieces than my usual.
