I've been writing since about 1990. My topics have always bounced around from the sweet wonderful stories (such as Bathhouse to the dark, violent ones. It is just the nature of what interests me now, not necessarily what interests me always. Sometimes I'm writing on a commission, a request, or just a simple lark.

The problem comes in with the lack of focus. There are readers who love my sweeter stories, but the darker ones make them uncomfortable. For a long time, I kept the stories mixed together. Sometimes the reader would get the good with the bad, sometimes they would find something they would have otherwise never even considered reading.

As my collection grew longer, I realized that I couldn't keep that attitude anymore. I was trying to gain more acceptance and having stories about rape, violence, and amputation wasn't quite mixing well with the loving tales of werewolves or frisky tentacles in a bathtub.

In 2013, I split my bylines. The new one, D. Sadie, is a public byline in that I'm letting everyone know that it is a safe place to read, but also the stories created by me. The biggest thing is that stories by D. Sadie are going to be sweet, loving, and more mainstream than the far grittier tales that remain on this website. The four big no-nos (violence, incest, bestiality, and necrophilia) won't ever show up on that site.

This site still contains references to the moved stories. You'll see on the indexes “by D. Sadie”. When you visit those links, you'll find a redirect topic that will move you over to the other site after a few seconds. This way, you can stay here if you want or retreat to the softer side of my writing.
