It's chapters like these that I wonder if I'm a bad person. In real life, I'm a loving and gentle person, a pacifist actually. But then I write a four thousand word chapter about throwing a live woman into a grinder. Of course, if you look at what movies like Saw and Hostel do, it isn't that far off.
This chapter was a long time in coming. It is the accumulation of months of abuse against Meris and Sonja's growing hatred. I also hope it is a fitting end for the villain of this little piece, though we have a number of chapters left before the end.
Speaking of endings, I'm still trying to figure out the end. I don't really want to write both, so I'm doing an informal poll: should Sonja survive? There are two possibilities of how this ends, but it really comes down to that single question.
