If you haven't figured it out, this story is an erotic version of Ursula K. Le Guin's story, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas. Of course, I use Omelas as a noun and a title instead of a place, but the inspiration is there.
In this chapter, Quinn learns that she is an Omelas and what it means. It also references back to the first part of this series and Rin's fate. The story didn't go into the “three years of being raped” bit but all the events led up to that fateful event.
