Pits and Spikes

Honor among thieves doesn't always apply to adventurers and Sarisin's companions had no honor or respect. They only viewed her as a whore that happened to disarm traps.

Sarisin wakes up from the fall into the pit. The first thing she had to do was to figure out how much trouble she was in.

When Sarisin hears voices, she hopes that her companions would rescue her. They couldn't possibly be that heartless and cruel? Could they?

Abandoned and lost, Sarisin had accepted that she was going to die while impaled on the metal spikes. But then someone new shows up and she feels the first stirring of hope.

Unlike her former companions, her new one has more interest in making sure she recovers.

Sarisin's injuries continue to get worse, the infection growing. But with no access to healing magic and the creature unable to help her, she is left with very few options.

As the infection continues, Sarisin realizes that she doesn't have a choice anymore. There was only one thing Ab could do to save her and she would have to give up a part of herself to do so.

Sarisin recovers from having her limbs bitten off with surprising grace, but she continues to weaken from her injuries.

It only took three more days before Ab's hunger became too much.

It wouldn't be long before he gets hungry again.

As the hunger continues to ravage Ab, Sarisin gives up more of herself.

It is finally too much for Sarisin. There is nothing left to give except her life.

It took three years for Raban and Gailin to return to the Tomb. Not to rescue Sarisin but because they had gathered in power to attempt to defeat the beast again.
